Combat Simulator

Combat Simulator

The combat simulator lets you preview a 1v1 battle outcome with the live battle engine before you commit to an attack.

How to Open

  • Use the radial menu and select the simulator.
  • From an espionage report, export the JSON payload and import it into the simulator.

What It Simulates

  • Single-run, 1v1 battle only.
  • Ships and defense for both attacker and defender.
  • Tech levels for Weapons, Shields, Defense, Computer, and Hyperspace.

Inputs

Units

  • Add ships and defense for both sides.
  • Defense is defender-only.

Resources

  • Defender resources are used for loot estimation.

Techs

  • Tech inputs are capped at level 30.

Fuel (Optional)

  • Toggle Count Fuel to estimate deuterium fuel cost for the attacker fleet.
  • Enter start and target coordinates in G:S:P format.

Scaling Rules

  • Very large simulations are automatically scaled down in steps of 10x until the total unit count is below 250,000.
  • After the sim runs, the result is projected back to the original fleet sizes without raising any surviving unit count above its starting amount.
  • Death Stars, Small Shield Domes, and Large Shield Domes are never scaled below 1 if they were present.
  • Simulations over 100,000,000 total units are blocked.

Results

  • Result: Victory, Defeat, or Draw
  • Attacker / Defender Losses: Resource cost of units destroyed
  • Debris: Generated from destroyed ships (and defense recovery rules)
  • Looted: Resources collected by surviving attacker cargo
  • Profit: Loot + (optional debris) - attacker losses - fuel cost

Export / Import JSON

You can export data from espionage reports and import it into the simulator:

  1. Click Export to simulator on the report.
  2. Paste the JSON into the simulator and click Import JSON.

Espionage exports also include the report time in server time plus target coordinates with the body marker: P for planet, M for moon, and D for Space Dock outpost.
