Reaper
The Reaper is the Intelligence salvage ship unlocked by Recycler Upgrades. Once unlocked, the shipyard builds Reapers instead of new Recyclers.

Harvest Missions
Reapers can launch Harvest missions and collect debris fields exactly like Recyclers. Existing Recyclers still work after the upgrade, and fleets may mix both ship types.
Laser Technology bonuses apply to debris collected by Reapers on Harvest missions.
Combat Salvage
Surviving Reapers on Attack and ACS Attack missions automatically collect debris before returning home. They use remaining cargo space to collect debris created by the current combat first. If that debris is collected and cargo space remains, they then collect older debris already at the same location.
