Recycler
The Recycler collects debris from destroyed ships, letting you turn battle wreckage back into usable resources before the field decays away.

Reaper Refit
Recycler Upgrades are available in the Intelligence focus. Level 1 unlocks the Reaper, which replaces new Recycler construction in the shipyard.
Existing Recyclers remain usable for Harvest missions. Their cost, cargo capacity, speed, and combat stats stay unchanged.
Requirements
| Requirement | Level |
|---|---|
| Shipyard | 4 |

| Espionage Probe | 5 |

Drive Upgrades
| Technology Level | Drive |
|---|---|
| Combustion 6+ | Combustion |
| Impulse 15+ | Impulse |
| Hyperspace 13+ | Hyperspace |
Combustion Drive adds +12% speed per level to all ships. Impulse Drive adds +18% speed per level to all ships and increases fuel consumption by 6% per level. Hyperspace Drive adds +25% speed per level to all ships and increases fuel consumption by 15% per level. Military Advanced Hyperdrive adds +20% speed per level to all ships and increases fuel consumption by 10% per level. When the Recycler upgrades to Hyperspace, the drive change is for requirements only; Hyperspace bonuses already apply globally.
Debris Collection
How It Works
- Battle occurs
- Destroyed ships become debris based on the universe recovery rates
- Debris forms at battle coordinates
- Send Recyclers to collect
Harvest Mission
Select the Harvest mission and target the debris field coordinates directly.
In Galaxy view, you can click the debris field itself on both desktop and mobile. If the slot has no planet, the debris field still opens a Harvest action by itself. This also applies to visible debris stacked on the Exchange slot.
You only need one Recycler to launch. If you send fewer Recyclers than the field ideally needs, you recover a partial load and can send follow-up trips for the rest.
Collection Formula
Collected = min(Recycler Cargo Capacity, Debris Available)
Laser Technology Bonus
Laser Technology increases recycler yield on every Harvest mission:
| Resource | Bonus Per Laser Level |
|---|---|
| Metal | +1% |
| Crystal | +2% |
| Deuterium | +3% |
Strategy
After Battles
Always send Recyclers after attacks:
- Recover the live debris value left at the coordinates
- Both your losses AND enemy losses
- Reduces net battle cost
Fleet Composition
Include Recyclers in raiding fleets:
- Combat ships destroy
- Cargo ships loot
- Recyclers collect debris
Timing
Send Recyclers to arrive after battle:
- Calculate battle end time
- Time Recyclers accordingly
- Or send with attack fleet
Debris Fields
Field Creation
Debris from:
- Your destroyed ships
- Enemy destroyed ships
- Defense rebuilds do not create debris
Field Contents
Current live debris recovery uses separate rates by resource:
- Metal: 70%
- Crystal: 40%
- Deuterium: 10%
Field Decay
Debris fields may decay over time if uncollected.
